“Dracula” Will Have Season 2 On Netflix?

Dracula, will he have season 2? | “Dracula” is a BBC and Netflix series that follows Dracula from her origins in Eastern Europe to her battles with the descendants of Van Helsing and beyond. According to the description of the streaming platform, “the legend of Count Dracula is transformed with new stories that unravel the bloody crimes of the vampire and expose his vulnerability.”

This new adaptation of the Bram Stoker classic was developed by Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat and stars Claes Bang, Dolly Wells, John Heffernan and Morfydd Clark.

Moffat revealed that filming for the fiction began on March 4, 2019 and took place at Orava Castle, Banská Štiavnica and Zuberec in Slovakia and at Bray Studios in Berkshire; and filming ended on August 1 of last year.

All three episodes of “Dracula” aired on BBC One from January 1-3, 2020 and are available on Netflix only from Saturday, January 4. However, fans of this iconic character are already asking for a second season.

Will “Dracula” Have Season 2?

So far, neither the BBC nor Netflix have confirmed a new installment of the miniseries, but creator Mark Gatiss hinted in an interview with Radio Times that his version of Dracula could one day return.

“It is very difficult to kill a vampire. Do you know what I mean? What they do is resurrect,” said the showrunner when asked about the possibility of another batch of episodes.

For his part, co-creator Steven Moffat was more cautious, saying “that would be revealing how it ends, right? So you’ll have to wait and see.”

Apparently at the end of “Dracula”, it seems that the story of this character has ended forever. Sister Agatha convinces Dracula that all this time he has been fleeing death, so the Count decides to poison himself by drinking the cancerous blood of Agatha’s descendant, Zoe.

Despite that denouement, due to the success with critics, the creators could find a way to retake the story. On Rotten Tomatoes, the miniseries has an 81% approval rating with an average rating of 8.11 / 10, based on 16 reviews. Whereas, on Metacritic, “Dracula” got a score of 90 out of 100, based on 4 reviews.
