DJ’d for the band Millionaires
Foreign Warren recently DJ’d for the group, Millionaires, for their sets at When We Were Young 2024, including an opening set for the When We Were Young sideshow at Brooklyn Bowl Vegas. Over a decade earlier was his first collaboration with the Millionaires, Drinks On Me, remixed under the moniker, The Knuckledusters, a previous duo group.
Viral Videos
Unrelated to his music and DJ projects, one of the most striking aspects of Warren’s career is his viral success with meme remixes. Perhaps the most famous of these is his “Yah Yah Yah” edit of Migos’ Bad & Boujee, which took the internet by storm in 2017.
Uploaded to his YouTube channel, the remix quickly racked up over 5 million views, with the video becoming a cultural phenomenon. The video was not only shared widely on social media platforms but also caught the attention of major publications such as GQ.com and Noisey by Vice. In fact, Jake Woolf of GQ described it as “awful, and yet, like watching a car crash video on YouTube, painfully captivating,” a sentiment that resonates with anyone who’s found themselves unable to look away from a viral video.
Other than that simple edit, what makes Warren’s other EDM meme remixes so captivating is his ability to tap into internet culture while still maintaining a level of musicality. The viral success of the “Yah Yah Yah” edit opened doors for further exposure, though he hasn’t made a meme remix video since 2017.
Local Gigs:
One notable performance was at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, CA, where he DJ’d for their New Year’s Eve celebration in 2019. The event, which offered a one-of-a-kind experience with its oceanic backdrop, allowed Warren to connect with a diverse crowd while showing off his talents in an unconventional setting.
In 2017, Warren also took a unique booking at Matador in Fullerton, CA, where the club flyer humorously promoted his meme remixes as part of the event. Clips from this performance were later uploaded on his YouTube channel, adding to his growing collection of internet content that blurred the lines between music, performance, and meme culture.
Between 2021 and 2023, Warren also served as the main booker for Huntington Beach Beer Company, where he organized local DJ lineups for the venue. During his tenure, he was responsible for curating a rotating selection of talent, further establishing himself as not only a performer but a key figure in the Southern California music scene.
Revisiting The Knuckledusters: A Nostalgic Release
In 2024, he released three tracks originally produced under The Knuckledusters name—his former duo with his brother—on streaming platforms under his own name, Foreign Warren. The album, The Knuckledusters Trilogy, is a nostalgic look back at the duo’s earlier “big room house” sound, offering fans a chance to experience previously unreleased material.
These tracks demonstrate Warren’s ability to blend different musical styles while staying true to his roots. DJing at Warped Tour 2025
With the Millionaires booked for all three dates of the 2025 Warped Tour, their touring DJ will most likely be Foreign Warren, who recently played an LA show with them this year already in February at Catch One for Subculture Party. As the Millionaires’ touring DJ, Warren will bring his unique style to the Warped Tour’s eclectic crowd, marking another chapter in his long-standing collaboration with the band.
