Fadv scam:
Contrary to what the wording suggests, Fadv is not a scam and hasn’t been involved in any scams reported in the last few days. Internet feedback suggests that Fadv’s background checks were inaccurate, resulting in job losses, advancements, onboarding etc. These incidents were viewed as scams by many people who suffered.
BBB has received 114 complaints over the last 12 months, and 176 in total in the last 3 years. Several consumers complained that Elite First ADVANCE SCAM included inaccurate information about others in their report. One employee complained that the information in his report was about crimes he never committed.
Fadv had confirmed via email with another person that he lived in Philadelphia. The person replied immediately, “No.” His report was mismatched to another person, a Philadelphia resident. Felony charges were reported. People lost their jobs and increments due to these errors.
A number of law firms have reported that clients contacted them to dispute the reports. It was alleged that during the action against First Advantage.com Fadv attempted to match the person’s DoB and partial SSN. They come across credentials for another person who has a similar name and DoB. Fadv reports are a mixture of information due to this.
How do I dispute the report and correct it?
BBB received complaints from several consumers that Fadv had not responded to their requests to correct their reports. People who called customer service for a supervisor were told to email their concerns. People have to wait hours for the customer service number.
No Elite first Advantage Text Message frauds were reported. Fadv reports were considered a scam by those who suffered because of incorrect reporting.
The Fadv report can be disputed by contacting a customer protection agency. The person must obtain a copy from Fadv, or the business who requested the report. Fadv will be contacted by the customer protection agency to correct the report. In some cases, however, the report has not been corrected. In these cases, the client can contact a law office and file a complaint.
