Exploring and Experiencing the City of Singapore

Singapore is definitely a city worth visiting, with plenty of tourist attractions to keep you busy. From the iconic Singapore Zoo to the stunning Gardens by the Bay, there’s something for everyone to enjoy in this vibrant city. Singapore City Tour options are available so that you can enjoy your time in the city fully.

Sentosa Island

Sentosa Island is a man-made island off the coast of Singapore. It is home to a number of tourist attractions, hotels, and restaurants. The island is accessible by a number of different transportation options, making it a popular destination for both locals and tourists alike.

The island was originally known as Pulau Blakang Mati, which translates to “Island behind Death.” The name was given due to the island’s location at the entrance of the Singapore Strait, which was a dangerous place for ships to pass through. In 1972, the island was renamed Sentosa, which means “peace and tranquillity” in Malay.

Today, Sentosa Island is home to a number of popular attractions, including the Singapore Zoo, the Universal Studios Singapore theme park, and the Resorts World Sentosa casino. The island is also home to a number of beaches, such as Siloso Beach and Tanjong Beach.

With so much to see and do, it’s no wonder that Sentosa Island is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Singapore.
