Microsoft Flight Simulator, the longest-running Microsoft franchise, has a rich history that spans nearly forty years. We are thrilled to bring this simulation to consoles, allowing more pilots the chance to fly. Today we are able to share that Microsoft Flight Simulator will fly on the Xbox Series X Xbox Series X
Your piloting skills will be tested against the real-time weather challenges, including global cloud cover, cloud layers, wind speed and direction as well as temperature, humidity and rain. With satellite data and cloud AI, you can travel the entire globe in incredible detail. You’ll see over 37,000 cities, 1.5 billion buildings and real mountain ranges.
Last year’s launch of Microsoft Flight Simulator was just the start of our quest to create the best simulation. As we continue adding to the experience with free World Updates (Japan, US, France, Benelux, UK, and Ireland so far and many more to come), themed DLCs, and true-to-life aircraft, Xbox Series X|S simmers will enjoy these updates on console as well. We are continuing to work with third party partners to bring additional peripherals for Xbox Series X
Microsoft Flight Simulatoris available now with Xbox Game Pass PC, Windows 10 PC and Steam. It is also available for preorder on Xbox Series X
Today’s announcement by Microsoft Flight Simulator also included a free Top Gun Maverick extension in partnership with Paramount Pictures. This will allow you to experience firsthand what it is like to be a U.S Navy Top Gun. The movie and expansion pack will debut on November 19, 2021.
