How To Add A Custom Photo Background For Free

We all face the time when we take a beautiful picture of ourselves that is worth posting online like on social media but the cluttered background can ruin the appeal of the picture completely. To keep up with the high standards of current times you often need to check the whole list to make it a “good” picture and that list include a good background/place. It is however not always possible to shoot at exotic locations every time, so background editing has become a lifesaver.

Fortunately, background editing can actually be a rather quick and easy process, more than you realize. So, let’s get to it.

Download the photo editing app, Blend, from Google Play Store or Apple’s App Store.

Now open the app and choose the photo in which you want to edit the background. Wait for the app to separate the object and the background, i.e. remove the background.

Choose any of the suggested options to further edit the background. In this case, it may be best to choose one with a solid background as we may not need the extra elements of other templates. Also, keep in mind the precise dimensions of the image you want.

After you’ve chosen a template, click on the Edit icon. Now, click on the pre-existing background image and choose the Replace option from the bottom panel.

Choose the background image that you want to use.

You can adjust the size of the object to fit perfectly in the frame. The app may by default add shadows to the main object in certain templates. So if you notice that, you can remove it to get a more natural feel. Now, you can save your final edit in your gallery. The app also saves it in ‘My Design’ so that you can access it anytime you want.

Download the app from Google Play Store for Android and iOS Store for iPhones to get easily started with background removal and creating professional quality images today.
