How To Play Craps: A Guide For Beginners

Since the Middle Ages, craps have been fascinating gambling games. Now is your chance to learn how to play Craps online if you have never done so before.

The terms and conditions, numbers, and variety of wagers offered in a game of craps might be intimidating to new players. Complicated tables may also cause you to avoid the craps tables and avoid even playing the game.

Craps is a simple game to learn. However, to go from novice to expert isn’t a hurdle you have to cross. This guide will show you how to play craps effectively. With that said, let’s begin.

How To Play Craps

The first term you need to know is the come-out roll. That’s where the craps betting begins. The player who makes the first throw is called the shooter.

Here’s how the game works. First, as a shooter, you press the roll button. There are three possible outcomes once the rolled number appears on your screen:

  1. Natural

This is where things start to get very good. A Natural signifies that you rolled a 7 or an 11. When you get these numbers, you win. Then, you roll the dice again.

  1. Craps

You lose when you roll a 2 (or Snake Eyes), 3, or 12. However, the round isn’t done yet, and you’ll get another chance to roll.

  1. Point

When you roll a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 on the dice, the dealer will mark your rolled number or Point on the table in a live casino.

Usually, in the online craps casino game, you’ll see a small button that displays when the Point is established. It’s white with the word ‘On’ written on it.

What you need to do now is roll the dice again, hoping to land on the same number. You win if the amount is the same.

Do you know why there isn’t a seven in the above sequence?

In this situation, the number 7 isn’t a lucky number. And that’s because if you roll a 7, you’ll seven out, meaning you’ll lose, and the betting round will stop. So after you’ve understood this section, you can go on to the betting alternatives.

That’s when the fun begins because that’s the one that’ll get you a lot of wins.

Craps Betting And Strategies

The most common craps bets include the place bets, pass line, complicated ways, and craps & eleven. While playing craps, you need to become familiar with the following betting terms.

Pass Line Bet: Players bet that on the first roll, 7, 11, or 12 will win, while 2, 3, or 12 will lose.

Don’t Pass Bet: A player wagers that the first two or three rolls will result in a victory, that 12 will result in a tie, and that 7 or 11 will result in a loss. So before a number like 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 may be rolled again, a seven must be rolled.

Come Bet: This bet follows the same rules as the pass line bet. It’s a game inside a game.

Don’t Come Bet: This bet is similar to the Don’t Pass Bet in that it follows the same principles.

Field Bet: The player wins if any of the numbers in the field box come up. A “One Roll Bet” is another name for a field bet.

Place Bet: Wagers on the point numbers (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10) that aren’t contracted bets are known as place bets.

Proposition Bet: The player rolls a bet with the numbers 2, 3, 7, 11, and 12 as the numbers.
