He was a happy father, who lived with the family and worked for Hormel Foods. But the accident changed everything. Unfortunately, he’s no longer between us. The loss is devastating for his family. It is difficult to lose someone that you love.

One driver of a car was involved in a collision that nearly ended in head-on in Palo Alto County, Iowa on Sunday night. Another person was hurt. According to the Patrol State of Iowa around 10:07 PM, a Chevy- Silverado 2011 pickup was driven by Brian Freeman, 45 of Garner. He was travelling on the Highway 18’s west side and was about to make a slight right-hand turn.
The eastbound 2006 Chevy SUV Trailblazer Chevy Trailblazer crashed with it. Before the crash, the vehicle didn’t follow the curve and crossed the center line. According to the Patrol State of Iowa reports, the Landon Schiek fatal accident was reported.
The accident aftermath –
Landon 26, 26 years old, of Algona, was the SUV’s driver. He passed away on the spot. Both drivers had their seatbelts on. After Freeman sustained injuries, Mercy Air took Freeman to Mason City Mercy Hospital. The accident is still being investigated.
The Emmetsburg Police and Cylinder- Fire Department, Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office, Emmetsburg EMS and the Medical Examiner of Palo Alto County supported the Patrol. Since it was announced, the news has been trending and people all over social networks have offered their condolences.
