Majesty Williams Missing All the Details You Need to Know!
The disappearance of five-year-old Majesty Williams shocked the nation. Her safe return after two years of relentless searching was a sigh of relief for everyone involved. Majesty was taken by her mother, Andrea McCord, in 2021 and was found only in 2023 in Mexico. The reunion of Majesty with her father, James Williams, stands as a testament to the unwavering efforts of the Smyrna Police Department, NCMEC, and the US Marshal service. This story underscores the importance of seeking legal help during family disputes, rather than resorting to unlawful methods.
Unraveling Majesty Williams’ Abduction: A Grim Timeline
James Williams and Andrea McCord had already split when Andrea decided to visit James at his Smyrna home for an overnight visit with their daughter. Tragically, during this visit, McCord allegedly abducted Majesty and stole James’ vehicle. Shortly afterward, she texted James, informing him that his car was abandoned at a grocery store.
Following the abduction, James promptly reported the incident to the Smyrna Police Department. They, in turn, issued a felony arrest warrant for Andrea McCord on charges of Interstate Interference with Child Custody. However, the case became increasingly complex as McCord proved challenging to locate, thereby escalating the situation to national attention. Hoping to generate public awareness and aid in Majesty’s location, the Missing Kids Organization highlighted her story on the TV show “On Patrol: Live”.
Searching for Majesty: A Daunting Task
The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) teamed up with the Smyrna Police Department and the US Marshals Service in the mission to trace Andrea McCord and Majesty. Their task was arduous as McCord had fled to Mexico with Majesty. In order to foster a connection with viewers and inspire help in the search, video clips of Majesty were shared with NCMEC and subsequently aired.
The collective efforts bore fruit after two long years when McCord and another individual, Custodio Geurra, were located in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Both were arrested for their involvement in the abduction. The Smyrna Police Department gratefully acknowledged the pivotal role of NCMEC in the search for Majesty.
Reunion of James and Majesty Williams: A Moment of Joy
On Sunday, July 16, after two agonizing years apart, father and daughter finally united at Hartfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta, Georgia.. After their emotional meeting, James Williams publicly expressed his gratitude towards the authorities for their unyielding efforts leading to the successful search. With Majesty now safe at home, the relieved father cherishes having his daughter back in his life.
