Poland Video Gaming Industry in 2021

The words video games are not new to us, and they have ruled the entertainment industry for decades. The uptrend draws from the early days of computer games and initial versions of Nintendo and Atari. We no longer pay attention to pixelated screens and limited sounds as video games have become more lifelike than ever.

Technology has played a significant role in bringing innovation to video games. Video games hold a bright future with billions of gamers and revenues. According to SupaData, games, and the interactive market earned more than $120 billion in 2019.

Online gambling

Online gambling is prevalent worldwide and has wowed many entrepreneurs to try their luck in starting an online gambling platform. In addition, video games are innovations that casino operators have pushed the envelope to maximize players’ experience.  Casino operators have tapped the potential in the video game market and introduced video games as an alternative of based games such as slots.

Video games have delivered a closer hybrid between them and online gambling by rewarding skills rather than luck. Video game popularity has proved they are the next essential frontiers in the online gambling industry. The ease of accessibility of content on gry zdrapki and video games has been a blessing to Polish gamblers.

Cloud gaming and streaming

The world has a large population of people that have access to mobile phones and the internet. In Poland, there are approximately 24.44 million mobile phone users today. With such exponential growth in reliable mobile networks and hardware storage capacities, mobile phones consume digital content and contribute to video games popularity.

Players need only to download a game of their choice and enjoy the gaming moment. However, cloud gaming has bypassed the annoying download issues. Gamers can now stream in real-time instead of buying and downloading a game.

With internet connectivity, players can interact with other gamers as they play locally from their devices. Through cloud gaming and streaming, gamers can play games from their instruments while the game is live somewhere else- the data center.

Changing business and distribution models

Netflix and Amazon are examples of companies that have upraised the home market. It is not strange that the video gaming market has adopted new digital-only games with a further content distribution that has lowered physical copy sales.

Today, we have increased hardware capabilities and fast download speeds, including 5G; thus, gamers rely less on gaming discs. The distribution model has resulted in a decline in video game stores among many brick-and-mortar casinos.

Digital distribution of video games compliments publishers’ marketing strategies, allowing companies to message users with new features and updates.

Increased diversity

The old norm that video games signified masculinity is gone. Women have joined the Polish online gambling industry. In the USA, 17% of men and 10% of women play video games. Developers are paying more attention to creating themes and games that will lure more women. Game characters such as Lara Croft, Chun-Li, to mention a few, have played a significant role in motivating women.

The gaming industry has diversified its roles by welcoming more women into the most senior positions. The presence of female icons such as Judy Bayley, Mayme Stocker, and Sarann Knight Preddy has proved that women can succeed in the gaming industry.

Next-Generation consoles

The video game market has vast and has reached new audiences through mobile phones, digital distribution models, and cloud gaming. Generation consoles such as PS5 and Xbox Series X have a unique feature that makes them stand out. Xbox Series has a Smart Delivery feature that gives gamers a free Xbox Series X version of any X box One game that players played in the past.

The primary game console producers have introduced next-generation consoles that help players to use physical and digital games. Xbox Series X offers subscribers access to a constantly updated library of games. With the availability of quality graphics, fast loading, and easy access to new games, the next generation consoles will push the envelope in the video game industry.

Technology has changed how games operate. Video games have turned out to be a big business with an estimated global worth of $170 billion. The video gaming industry has undergone tremendous changes, and we are yet to see more in the future.
