Rokid’s New AR Spatial Could Be the Wearable, Everyday Spatial Computing Experience
Rokid has just released its newest leap into spatial computing: the Rokid AR Spatial, a spatial computing kit that quietly reimagines what consumer AR can—and should—look like. Compact, sleek, and priced at just $649, this system isn’t built for spectacle but for daily use.
A Design Philosophy Rooted in Reality
Weighing just 75 grams, the AR Spatial is closer to sunglasses than the bulky headsets dominating the space. This product is designed to disappear into your life.
It’s also highly adaptive. With multi-window AR support, users can pin three apps in space simultaneously—watching a movie, responding to messages, and browsing the web. Screens can scale up to 300 inches, and 3D video support gives depth to everyday content. Vision adjustment for up to -6.00D myopia comes built-in, eliminating the need for prescription inserts.
The accompanying Station 2 runs a proprietary spatial computing OS built around the Android app ecosystem, offering direct access to streaming apps like Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, and more. Rokid isn’t claiming to have invented AR entertainment, but they made it portable, comfortable, and familiar.
Building for the World People Already Live In
Where competitors push expensive and complex platforms, Rokid is working toward mass adoption. Rokid has also made gaming part of the narrative. The AR Spatial supports Steam Link, PS Remote Play, and Moonlight, transforming the headset into a cinematic, 3DOF-enabled 300-inch gaming screen. Whether for work or entertainment, the system is as effective at replacing a laptop screen as it is at upgrading a hotel room movie night.
Crucially, this isn’t just about the specs. Rokid’s ecosystem already includes 35 spatial apps and a developer base of more than 6,000 contributors, giving it depth and momentum that most AR startups can’t claim. The company’s track record in industrial AR and its CES and Milan Design Week showings this year signal a shift: Rokid is no longer building for niche professionals but everyone.
