Battery:

Inverter:

Batteries and solar cells generate direct current (DC) electricity. This indicates that the stream is flowing in only one direction. However, many electrical components and systems require alternating currents (AC).   A capable solar panel system will include a power inverter, which converts direct current (DC) electricity from the battery or solar panels into alternating current (AC) power suitable for a home’s electricity supply.

Grid-tied System:

In some cases, connecting your home’s solar power array to the neighborhood’s electrical grid may be a good idea. In this scenario, the energy generated by your solar panels is directly transmitted to the grid and used by your home. Typically, you will be charged for the difference between the energy you consume and the energy you generate. As a result, lowering your overall energy consumption while maintaining your system’s output could result in a profit.

A battery is not considered necessary for a grid-connected system. As a result, using a charge controller is no longer required. However, if the power grid fails, it is recommended that you keep a backup battery.

Pros and Cons of Solar power system

Pros:

·         A solar power system is a renewable source of energy. It will be available to you and your household throughout the day and year. Sun rises daily, so there will be no end to your energy source.

·         Applying a solar power system will ultimately reduce your electricity bill because many of your electrical appliances will run on solar energy. For instance, if you have a business that consumes electricity, you should apply a solar power system to earn profits.

Cons:

·         The cost of buying a whole solar system, including solar panels, batteries, inverter, wiring, and installation, must be high. But it is only a one-time investment, and you will not have to worry about your electricity bills for years.

·         If you want to install an extensive electricity-producing system, you will need a huge space to install solar panels. Solar panels occupy much space, which should be placed under sunlight.
