Injuries Suffered by Cheerleaders

Roth apologized to the man after she got back in her friend’s vehicle. She explained that, at first, she thought it was her vehicle. The man then threw his hands up, grabbed a gun and began shooting. Roth was treated on the spot for a graze injury and released. Her teammate Payton Washington was shot in both the leg and back. Washington, a Baylor Acrobatics and Tumbling Team incoming athlete, was airlifted to a hospital nearby in critical condition.
