BEST PLACES TO VISIT NEAR INDIAN AIRPORT 

There are airports connecting cities and towns around the world, which help us to travel to different places.  There are many airports in India that show fine examples of modern architecture and are equipped with world-class facilities. When we talk about an airport, the first airport that comes to our mind is a foreign airport.  The beauty of the airport there and the pleasant weather start affecting our hearts and minds.   1. Shimla Airport

Shimla Airport is located in the Jubbarhatti district of Himachal Pradesh, approximately 22 km from the capital city.  The airport is situated at an altitude of 5000 metres.  Shimla is one of the best places to visit in India.  The weather here is mostly cool and it is one of the best places to spend a summer holiday.  The airport in Shimla is built by cutting mountains. Shimla is called the “Queen of Heels”.  Even though there is not much space for parking two airplanes here, yet this airport has been made very beautiful and beautiful.  There is also less crowd here. 

  1. Dabolim Airport, Goa

It is one of the smallest airports in India.  Goa Airport is also known as Dabolim Airport.  This is the only airport in Goa. This is the best place to visit near goa airport . Spread over 638 hectares, the airport is well designed and looks like a utopia on the shores of the Arabian Sea. Since Goa is a tourist destination, around 150 flights arrive from the airport daily.  The airport also has an integrated terminal for the convenience of passengers.   Best time to visit Goa in April as it is less crowded and easy to access.

Kolkata Airport is also known as Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport.  It is one of the most popular airports in India and is well connected to other parts of the world. The airport located in Kolkata was earlier known as Dum Dum Airport.  Currently flights of many airlines including Air India, Deccan Aviation, Blue Dart Aviation, Indigo, DTDS, Jet Airways etc operate from here.

  1. Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Guwahati 

It is one of the airports in Northeast India.  The popular Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati, also known as Guwahati International Airport, is the busiest ’airport in eastern India.  Guwahati airport is well connected to major cities of North India.  The airport, located 26 km from the city centre, is named after freedom fighter Gopinath Bordoloi.  The airport also serves as a base for the Indian Air Force.

One of the most important airports in India, Delhi airport is also the most popular and the most attractive international airport in India. The airport has 6 terminals that receive flights from almost all major cities around the world.  Indira Gandhi International Airport is located in Palam, southwest of Delhi and 16 km from the city centre.  It is one of the largest airports in India.  In 2016, Delhi airport was ranked as the 10th busiest airport in India and the 21st busiest airport in the world. This is undoubtedly the first thing that comes to mind whenever we think of international airports in India and their names. Delhi Airport was declared as the Best Airport in Central Asia and Best Airport in Central Asia at the Skytrax World Airport Awards 2015.

  1. Agatti Airport, Lakshadweep 

Agatti Airport, located at the southern end of Agatti Island in the Union Territory of Lakshadweep, is one of the most beautiful and attractive airports in India. Agatti Aerodrome is the only airstrip in the archipelago which is surrounded by the blue waters of the sea and this is what makes it different and attractive from all the airports in India. Surrounded by an army of blue waters, Agatti Airport is operated by the Airports Authority of India.  The airport’s terminal building is capable of handling 50 people during peak hours.
