“But being” real “does not mean plunging headlong into a cesspool of drugs, profanity, promiscuity, and an indifference bordering on all of that. This is where Euphoria so far fails, not just itself, but many impressionable young people ”- Ed Bark, Uncle Barky.
“It’s easy to make a troll on the Family Research Council with graphic scenes of minors, violence, and drug use. The most difficult thing is to use the same type of image and action to make an observation or a change ”- Sophie Gilbert, The Atlantic.
“Euphoria’s nihilistic view of adolescence is easy to understand, as distilled misery says more about us than about teenagers: some people love a good scare” – Willa Paskin, Slate.
“The series is certainly aesthetically pleasing and well-run, with smooth camera work that enhances the characters’ inner lives. But the writing is unstable, full of clumsy lines and not so complicated twists and turns ”- Pilot Viruet, Observer.
