Other Persons Remains in Lake Mead

On May 1, 2022, the police discovered the first body. Because the body had been shot, police suspected foul play. The victim’s footwear and clothing were examined by the police, who determined that the pattern and design of the victim’s clothing was typical of fashion in the 70s and 80s.

The remains of the victim are believed to be more than 40 centuries old. The body was found in an empty barrel. According to police, if the victim’s body is found in a barrel it is highly likely that they have been murdered.

The second Human Remains Lake Mead was found in the Callville Bay area of the park on 7th May 2022. It is expected that the body’s tissues would have been preserved due to the freezing water at its bottom. The police have not yet considered the remains of the other two bodies for investigation as they appear to be in good condition and no evidence of foul play.

This Monday was the discovery of the third body. These cases were closed.

The lake’s water level has dropped to 174 feet, or 1,040 feet, due to climate change. As water levels drop, police expect more Human Remains Lake Mead to be found. Lake Mead is full when the water level reaches 2,000ft.

Conclusion:

A number of boats from World War II were also exposed due to the drop in water level. Further, it was not possible to identify any human remains. Therefore, investigations are limited. It is not possible to establish strong links between any crime and the investigation. Intact human remains are subjected to forensic dentistry and fingerprinting. Police said that they can order DNA testing if necessary.
