Has Reportedly Joined The Cast Of Netflix’s The Witcher For Season 2?

The cast for Season 2 of Netflix’s The Witcher has allegedly gained another actor. Kevin Doyle, famous for his character in Downton Abbey, is said to be playing with a character whose name doesn’t appear in the novels that inspired the series.

Doyle will perform Ba’Lian, based on The Witcher news website Redanian Intelligence. As he appears to be a new personality for the TV show, nothing is known about his or her role in the story. The Witcher Season 2 is currently finishing up its filming for its next season, which does not yet have a release date.

On Downton Abbey, Doyle played the bumbling footman Mr. Molesley from 2010 through 2015. He has also appeared in several British TV series and stage performances.

The synopsis for The Witcher Season 2 is shown below:

Convinced Yennefer’s life has been lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia attracts Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans, and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something a lot more dangerous: the mystical power she owns indoors.

The Witcher stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg, Freya Allan as Ciri and Joey Batey as Jaskier. Season 1 is currently available on Netflix.
