On August 14th 2023, 17-year-old Fairview High School student Luke Silverman and budding tennis player was killed tragically while riding his motorbike on South Boulder Road near Tantra Drive at around 9:30 pm. A car collided with him head on, sending him off his motorbike, inflicting fatal injuries that required emergency services response time to treat paramedics who declared him dead at the scene despite no harm to themselves; his 19 year-old driver unharmed was unaffected and has fully cooperated in ongoing investigations regarding this case.
