The regular season is coming to an end and as we are approaching the playoff season, all the action and the heat will be turning ‘red’. The sixteen teams that will qualify for the playoffs, will certainly give all fans a season to remember! Being the reigning champions give them a pinch of confidence and a strong dynamic, but without Nathan MacKinnon -who they signed prior to the kick off of the 2023 season – and Gabriel Landeskog – who is out for the whole season, the Avs appear to be struggling out there. Nevertheless, sportsbooks still think they are kind of realistic contenders of the Stanley Cup and they are giving them almost 13% chances of being the winners.
And then we have the Carolina Hurricanes, who are given by sportsbooks nearly 12.5% chances of winning the competition in the final. The Hurricanes complete the list of the top three favorites for the 2023 Stanley Cup, but some analysts believe that even with their energy shot by Max Pacioretty’s return, they won’t be able to make it in the end.
