The best PS5 games in 2022
What is the best game of PS5? This top is also composed of titles already released on PS4 but which now use the capabilities of the PlayStation 5 by offering a better overall experience on the latter. So it’s time to discover our ranking:
1. Elden Ring
Elden Ring is an audacious cross between a Souls-like game without concessions and an open-world as vast as it is intelligent. The result is a production that is accomplished in almost all areas and is an ideal entry point for beginners. Of course, you shouldn’t expect an “easy” game. Simply put, FromSoftware has done it again!
Announced in June 2019, Elden Ring has been long awaited. It must be said that we are facing an ultra-ambitious title since for the first time, a Souls-like created by FromSoftware ventures on the side of open worlds. So there were a lot of legitimate questions about how this universe would work. Moreover, the author of Game of Thrones himself, George R. R. Martin, participated in the creation of the lore of this epic. This adds another dose of curiosity about the final quality of the copy made by the Japanese studio. But as we could have hoped, the disappointment did not spoil the party… On the contrary!

2. Horizon Forbidden West
Known for its work on the Killzone license, the Dutch studio attempted a bold gamble in 2017 by deciding to dabble in the action-RPG genre. A successful attempt since Horizon Zero Dawn quickly built a large community by selling more than 20 million units worldwide. So when Sony announced a sequel in 2020 (for a launch almost two years later), expectations were quite logically stratospheric. In Horizon Forbidden West, Aloy goes to the rescue of a dying Earth populated by fearsome machines. A scenario that we will refrain from disclosing as it contains moments of bravery and remarkable twists. But this is not the only quality of the game…
3. Demon’s Souls
At the controls of this real remake, we find the studio Bluepoint Games. The latter is a specialist in the field of luxury remasterings since we owe them the excellent Shadow of the Colossus and Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection on PlayStation 4. With Demon’s Souls, the formula remains unchanged since the objective is to dust off this cult game without altering its old charm.
As soon as it was announced in June 2020, Demon’s Souls was thrust into the spotlight thanks to its impressive visuals. It has to be said that the title from Bluepoint Games brings a real breathtaking graphical overhaul to the base material. So much so that it seems to have been created entirely for the PS5 and that it is not a game that was originally released 11 years earlier.
4. Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart
The famous duo, composed of the Lombax and his faithful best friend made of bolts, has become inseparable from the PlayStation brand since the PS2 era. The fifth home console made in Sony had to welcome its own episode. And if the formula of the latter remains classic, the developers promised big innovations on the technical level, always thanks to the amazing capacities of the PS5.
The scenario of this Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is quite unusual. Our two heroes find themselves plunged into an interdimensional journey because of a formidable weapon that Doctor Nefarious obviously does not know how to use.
5. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade
There is no need to present the iconic seventh episode of the Final Fantasy franchise yet again. This remake is only a first part that focuses on the events that took place in the city of Midgar. In order to capitalize on the worldwide success of the PS4 version, Square Enix has taken the time to concoct an edition for the next generation. Note that this upgrade is free for all owners of the game. However, it is necessary to pay for the interMISSION DLC. To put it simply, this reinterpretation of the PS1 opus is even more enjoyable to play on PlayStation 5!
