We’ve put together a comprehensive guide that will help you determine the best cannabis flowers and concentrates available in your area so you can make the most informed decision possible when shopping. Read on to learn more!

What is CBD Flower?

It’s a non-psychoactive form of cannabis, it is made from industrial hemp plants that are grown to have high levels of cannabidiol (CBD).

Industrial hemp plants are typically high in CBD and very low in THC. When extracted, these products contain various amounts of cannabinoids like terpenes, alkanes, diols, esters, and more. In some instances, entire families of cannabinoids are extracted all at once; other times a plant is sourced with one cannabinoid dominant (typically tetrahydrocannabinol or THC) while others are far less concentrated and appear only as trace levels.

We do not recommend using anything with psychoactive properties because they can affect your ability to drive safely or operate machinery among other things.

Types of CBD Flower

There are two main types of CBD flower:

  • Cannabis Indica
  • Cannabis Sativa

The ratio of these two plants determines whether your CBD flower is going to be sedating or stimulating. Indica tends to produce more sedative effects, while Sativa has a higher THC content, producing stimulating effects such as anxiety relief and creativity.

No matter which one you prefer, there’s a strain for everyone! It’s always best to start with low-THC strains when consuming cannabis for medical purposes because some patients may be very sensitive to its effects. However, after you have become used to using marijuana for health purposes, you can try higher-THC strains for their additional benefits.

How Much Does It Cost?

Like any other product, there are different prices associated with CBD flower depending on where you buy it. The price ranges from around $10 to $25 per gram, although some higher-end options can cost upward of $40.

This is a significant difference compared to CBD oil which can be purchased for as little as $30 a bottle (it’s important to remember that most bottles contain 300mg—this means a 15ml bottle of oil will set you back 15 cents).

The price differences are due to several factors including strain selection and the growing environment. Remember, just because it’s more expensive doesn’t mean it’s better! You need your hemp flower to be tested so you know exactly what is in your jar or vial before buying.

Is it Safe?

To date, there have been few reported incidents of long-term health problems attributed to CBD use. However, like many other natural compounds, not a lot is known about its potential side effects or interactions with other drugs and treatments.

There are some established guidelines: The National Cancer Institute warns against using hemp oil in cooking due to its extremely low smoke point. And since hemp oil contains a chemical similar to aspirin, it shouldn’t be used on wounds that need healing in any kind of open way.

While research into CBDs is still ongoing, we hope more companies will start carrying products made from American-grown hemp seed oil soon. The FDA just approved Epidiolex—the first plant-based oral treatment for epilepsy—which contains purified cannabidiol without THC.

Do I Need a Prescription?

For many of us, getting a doctor’s note for medical marijuana use feels like a common-sense approach to proving our legitimacy. However, in many parts of America, where recreational weed is still illegal, that requirement makes no sense.

If you live in one of those states, you may find yourself wondering whether or not it’s legal to buy and smoke without a doctor’s note. As with all laws involving cannabis, it varies by state. Each state has its own set of requirements that must be met before you can legally smoke pot—regardless of how you plan on consuming it (vape pens included).

For starters, California requires residents to have either an annual physician recommendation or a valid medical marijuana card issued by their county health department before purchasing from dispensaries.

What Are the Active Ingredients in CBD Flower?

You may not know it, but there are many ingredients in CBD flowers. One of them is cannabidiol (CBD). Some might mistake cannabidiol for THC since they share similar properties, but their chemical makeup and effects are quite different.

To understand what cannabidiol (CBD) is and how it works, we have to go back to chemistry class! So that you know why cannabidiol (CBD) is useful in general, we’ll explain a little bit about organic compounds.

Why Is CBD Better Than Smoking Marijuana?

If you need a natural alternative to conventional treatments, CBD flower can help you. In terms of mental health, it helps reduce stress and anxiety without any side effects or addictive qualities. It also helps increase concentration and focus while improving sleep quality.

In addition to that, it has been linked to pain relief with very few negative side effects; CBD may not be a long-term cure for some conditions but is worth trying if you’re looking for an all-natural solution. Learn more about everything we discussed here on our website!

Final Thoughts

If you’re looking for a legal, medicinal way to improve your life through cannabis consumption, the cannabidiol flower is an excellent place to start. Without THC and its psychoactive effects, it’s a powerful mood-boosting substance that can be taken daily.

It also features some of many of marijuana’s other benefits, such as pain relief and reduced inflammation. And with its higher CBD content, it leaves out many of marijuana’s more controversial side effects—including intoxication.

In short, though it doesn’t always get as much love in public discussion, CBD flower is a healthy and versatile substance that can improve your health and well-being considerably.
