The premiere of the third season of Cobra Kai on Netflix is about to fall, and the new chapters could delve deeper into Mr. Miyagi’s karate style.
Thanks to its inclusion in the Netflix catalog, Cobra Kai has become one of the series of the year on the streaming platform. The Karate Kid sequel series will soon premiere its third season, and even a fourth batch of episodes has been confirmed, which has pleased fans who were left with a terrible cliffhanger at the end of the second season.
There is a lot of expectation for this third season of Cobra Kai, of which some images have already been seen and it is also known that it will recover an important location of the films. The series has been praised for recovering and respecting the correct elements of the original films, and it seems that this new season will delve deeper into the past of Mr. Miyagi and his particular style of karate.
According to what the creators dropped in an interview with Collider, Daniel’s trip to Okinawa will be the trigger for these plots. “One of the things we love about Season 3 is that it’s the first time Ralph Macchio has actually been shooting in Okinawa because they shot Karate Kid 2 in Hawaii,” explained Jon Hurwitz.
“So we learn a little more about Mr. Miyagi. The memories you have of Daniel and Miyagi’s warm relationship are the same, in a way if you watch the first chapters of Cobra Kai, there is that similarity between the attitude of Johnny and Miguel and the attitude of Miyagi and Daniel. Those characters sometimes overlap. One of the things that we also love about season 3 is that we will be able to delve deeper into Miyagi’s karate past, as well as Mr. Miyagi. “
