The TNPSC Group 2 exam is organized to recruit personnel for several Civil Service posts in Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has conducted the TNPSC Group 2 prelims exams in May 2022. Aspirants are eagerly awaiting their results, and TNPSC is expected to declare the TNPSC Group 2 Result 2022 for the Prelims Exam in October 2022. - Preliminary Exam
- Mains Exam
- Interview (will be taken for certain posts under group 2)

Selection in TNPSC group 2 2022
The selection for Group 2 & Group 2 A will be made through the selection process as discussed below:
1. Group 2 (Interview Posts): Preliminary exam, main written exam, and Interview/Personality Test.
2. Group 2A (Non-Interview Posts): Written Test only and no interview.
Candidates who have given the TNPSC Group 2 Prelims 2022 in May can check their results through the following five steps-
Step 1: Visit the official website of TNPSC at https://tnpsc.gov.in/ to check TNPSC Group 2 Prelims Result 2022.
Step 2: Under the Important links section, you will see an option- “latest results/Result declaration schedule” click on that.
Step 3: Now you will be directed to a page where various notifications about TNPSC Results will be available.
Step 4: Search for TNPSC Group 2 Result 2022 preliminary examination, click on the link, and submit your login details, i.e., Application ID/Registration number.
Step 5: After clicking on submit, your TNPSC Group 2 Prelims Result will be accessible. Now you will be able to check the results for the TNPSC Group 2 prelims and see if you qualify for the next round.

Part A – Tamil language Paper or General English Paper (100 Questions/150 Marks)
Part B – General Studies (75 Questions) + Aptitude and Mental Ability Test (25 Questions) (100 Questions/150 Marks)
General studies- This section included questions on History, Current Affairs, Indian Polity, Geography, Economics, Indian National Movement, Development and Administration in Tamil Nadu History, Culture, Heritage, and Socio-Political Movements of TN
Aptitude and Mental Ability test- This section included questions on Simplification Ratio and Proportion, Simple Interest Compound Interest, Area and Volume, Time and Work, Puzzles, Dice, Visual Reasoning, Alpha Numeric Reasoning, Number Series, Logical reasoning.
Mains Syllabus for TNPSC 2022
The TNPSC Group 2 2022 Mains Exam will be an offline written test. It includes a set of two papers: Paper I and Paper II.
➤ Paper I has 2 questions from English to Tamil Translation and Tamil to English Translation
➤ Paper II has 10 questions on Precise Writing, Comprehension, Hints Development, and Essay Writing, and Letter writing.

TNPSC Group 2 Syllabus Paper 1
➤ English to Tamil translation and Tamil to English translation: The topics and syllabus asked in the exam will encompass the History, Culture and Heritage of Tamil Nadu.
TNPSC Group 2 Paper-II Syllabus
➤ Precis writing, Comprehension, and Hints Development can be asked in this section.
➤ Essay writing on the following topics from ‘Thirukkural’ can be included.
➤ Letter writing: Official is included under this section.
TNPSC group 2 result 2022 procedure:
The commission releases the vacancies under two divisions, Group 2 and Group 2A. Group 2 and Group 2A have only one difference i.e., interview. Group 2 includes vacancies having an interview round while Group 2A has vacancies without an interview round.
A total of 5529 TNPSC Group 2 Vacancies have been announced along with the TNPSC Group 2 Notification 2022. The detailed vacancy distribution for interviews & Non-Interview posts have been released along with TNPSC Group 2 Notification 2022. Vacancies under Group 2 are 116 and Group 2A has a total number of vacancies for 5413 posts.
Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission will release the result for TNPSC Group 2 and Group 2A Services, respectively after the successful completion of each phase of the examination. Candidates who qualify for the prelims will be invited for the mains examination, and candidates who qualify for the cut-off of mains will be invited for the last process i.e. Personal Interview. There is no interview round for TNPSC Group 2A Services.
