The eleventh season of “Blue Bloods” finally returns after a long hiatus. This is slated to return alongside McGyver season 5 and Magnum PI season 3.
Summary Of The Plot Of The New Season
The new installment of the drama directed by Tom Selleck will premiere with the first episode entitled “Triumph Over Trauma.” According to TV Line, his summary of the plot reads: “In the midst of a changing political climate, Frank goes head-to-head with City Council Speaker Regina Thomas (Whoopi Goldberg) over protests against police brutality.”
Added: “Jamie and his newly discovered nephew, Joe Hill, work together to locate Danny and Baez when they disappear while searching for a murderer.
Eddie also helps a woman who was struggling to locate the body of her missing father. It was out of line because it’s been chaos since the pandemic started.
Season 11 of “Blue Bloods” will begin exactly where season 10 ended and will be the moment when Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) and Báez (Marisa Ramirez) disappear. There’s also a surprising big reveal, as it turned out that newcomer Joe Hill (Will Hochman) is actually one of the Reagans.
TV Insider noted that Joe’s family connection to the Reagans will be revealed in season 11 of “Blue Bloods.” He was found to be the son of Joe Reagan and this interesting twist is a nice addition to the story.

Joe And Jamie Team Up
In any case, it was Danny’s son Sean (Andrew Terraciano) who found out that Joe is related to them. It was surprising that the newcomer was actually invited to dinner and belatedly found out that he is actually one of the Reagans.
Still unaware of the family tree twist, Joe and Jamie (Will Estes) began working together to find Danny and Baez who went missing while investigating a case. Joe was introduced in the latest installment and it looks like his character will stick around longer as he joins Jamie in season 11 of “Blue Bloods.”
Also, the new season will open with the story about the pandemic. It will address real-life issues that are happening today, including police brutality.
