Sweet Magnolias fans can be relieved. Netflix announced that it has renewed the drama series starring by JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Heather Headley, and Brooke Elliott for Season 2.
Based on a famous literary series, “Sweet Magnólias portrays the complicity between Maddie ( JoAnna Garcia Swisher ), Helen ( Heather Headley ), and Dana Sue ( Brooke Elliott ), three childhood friends who reconcile their love, family, and professional life in the small and charming town of Serenity, South Carolina.
The end of the season brought a game change (and potentially fatal) for several of the main characters in the series.
The first season, consisting of 10 episodes, debuted in May on the streaming service and even with little publicity, the series managed to gather a large fan base. Although Netflix did not publicize the audience for the series, Sweet Magnólias spent several weeks on the coveted top 10 list.
