Netflix continues to trust its most diverse group of heroes. ‘ The Umbrella Academy ‘, the hit created by Jeremy Slater based on the comics by Gabriel Bá and Gerard Way published by Dark Horse Comics, will have a third season.
The streaming giant has confirmed that production will begin next February in Toronto and that, as in previous seasons, the new collection of chapters consists of 10 one-hour episodes.
Wild and forceful, especially since its second installment, ‘ The Umbrella Academy ‘ follows the misadventures of an unconventional group of superheroes in which we find Ellen Page as Vanya, Tom Hopper as Luther, David Castañeda as Diego, Emmy Raver-Lampman as Allison, Robert Sheehan as Klaus, Aidan Gallagher as Number Five, Ritu Arya as Lila, Justin H. Min as Ben and Colm Feore as Sir Reginald.
All of them are confirmed in the third season of the series that will also have Steve Blackman, co-creator of the series with Jeremy Slater, as showrunner.
Let’s remember that, despite the apparent happy ending of the second season, when we saw the protagonists return to 2019 they discovered that everything was as they remembered, especially with the appearance of The Sparrow Academy. Forsaken Ben, aging Reginald, and a new team of young superheroes in the shadows, BUT WHAT’S HAPPENING HERE!
