‘The Wilds’, Renewed: The Young Shipwrecked Amazon Will Remain Lost On The Island In A Season 2
The experiment must have gone well for Amazon Prime Video since the platform has announced that ‘ The Wilds ‘ has been renewed for a season 2. This has been announced by the cast of the series through social networks.
This marks the success of what has become the platform’s first young adult series. Released on December 11, this renewal comes just over a week after we witnessed the plane crash that the protagonists are experiencing: five young girls with little in common but who will discover that they are not there by chance.
‘The Wilds’ is created by Sarah Streicher, with Amy Harres serving as showrunner. Susanne Fogel served as director for the pilot. Rachel Griffiths, David Sullivan, Troy Winbush, Sophia Ali, Sarah Pidgeon, Jenna Clause, Erana James, Mia Healey, Helena Howard, Reign Edwards, and Shannon Berry are part of the cast.
Beyond the success that the series may have had, this renewal must be read as a consolidation of the bet that Amazon Prime Video is making for young-adult fiction since the incorporation of Jennifer Salke as president of the platform’s studios.
