‘Grace And Frankie’ Renewed: Netflix Comedy Will End In Season 7, Becoming Its Longest Series

There are still a few months to go before we can see the sixth season, but Netflix has decided to renew its comedy ‘ Grace and Frankie ‘ for the seventh and final season. A renewal that also comes with the milestone that these last episodes will set a record.

Specifically, Netflix has commissioned this season 7 to consist of 16 episodes, three more than usual in comedy. This will make the series starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin the longest on Netflix, reaching 94 episodes . Three more episodes than ‘ Orange is the New Black ‘.

There is no release date yet, but considering that each season has debuted in January (the sixth will surely arrive that month of 2020), it is quite likely that these final episodes will arrive in January 2021 . That they decide to divide the season into two parts (being 16 it is logical to split it) is another story.

Created by Marta Kauffman and Howard J. Morris , throughout the seasons ‘Grace and Frankie’ has become one of those comedy with a big heart, as cute as it is funny and yes, something topical. Season 7 will see Fonda, Tomlin, Sam Waterston, Martin Sheen, June Diane Raphael, Brooklyn Decker, Baron Vaughn, and Ethan Embry.
