Pose is one of the few remaining FX shows to hit Netflix annually in large part thanks to the connection with Ryan Murphy. Pose season three has been confirmed, but when will it air on Netflix? Here’s a look at the Netflix release schedule for Pose season three for 2021.
Created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Steven Canals, the rich series has spanned several decades looking at the world of African American and Latino ball culture with season two set years after the first.
As we mentioned, it’s part of a rare group of FX shows that still exist on Netflix in the US, and most of FX’s production now goes exclusively to Hulu (which is owned by FX’s parent company, Disney ).
The series received a season three renewal in June 2019, which was the same time the second season began airing in the US on FX.
When Will Pose Season 3 Be On Fx?
Under normal circumstances, we would have expected the third season to air in June 2020, but that would not be the case as the original filming dates for the third season were between January 2020 and June 2020.
As you can no doubt guess, that production was unable to go live due to the coronavirus pandemic and its disruption to productions of all sizes. In Pose’s case , they had only been shooting for eight days when they had to log out.
Sadly, no new filming dates have been announced yet and as such no release date is known either.
When Will Pose Season 3 Be On Netflix In The US And Worldwide?
Season one of Pose arrived on Netflix in May 2019, while season two landed on Netflix in June 2020.
Since new seasons always drop before the new one has started, the earliest we can expect the third season on Netflix is May-June 2021. That said, if production still can’t start, it could be up to a year. after the initial debut of the series. That being said, we cannot yet give an accurate prediction given the coronavirus outbreak.
In the meantime, keep an eye out for season 3 trailers and once we know of production and / or release dates, we’ll update this post to reflect the new information.
Of course, there is much more to expect from Ryan Murphy on Netflix. It has a wide range of different shows and movies in development for Netflix, including more episodes of Ratched, a series about fashion designer Halston, and lots of other great stuff too.
