The CW has released the official synopsis for the second season of Nancy Drew , the adaptation of the long-running children’s detective series starring Kennedy McMann. According to the synopsis, the story will begin in fall 2019 (despite not airing until 2021), which represents Nancy’s gap year before college. She will continue her investigative ways, though some of it will be while working for her father, despite the tension in their relationship that arises from the show’s first season in which we uncover some pretty dark truths about old Carson Drew.
Apparently, the show will be more self-contained in season two. However, don’t discount the idea of a general story linking some of those independent stories.
