Nancy Drew Season 2 Synopsis Released

The CW has released the official synopsis for the second season of Nancy Drew , the adaptation of the long-running children’s detective series starring Kennedy McMann. According to the synopsis, the story will begin in fall 2019 (despite not airing until 2021), which represents Nancy’s gap year before college. She will continue her investigative ways, though some of it will be while working for her father, despite the tension in their relationship that arises from the show’s first season in which we uncover some pretty dark truths about old Carson Drew.

Apparently, the show will be more self-contained in season two. However, don’t discount the idea of ​​a general story linking some of those independent stories.

The second season of NANCY DREW follows the legendary teenage detective as she solves mysteries, both earthly and supernatural, in her haunted hometown of Horseshoe Bay, Maine. Nancy (Kennedy McMann) leads a team of unlikely friends: George Fan (Leah Lewis), whose clairvoyant heritage will emerge through his encounters with the paranormal; Bess Marvin (Maddison Jaizani), a con artist and heiress with multiple female fans; Ned “Nick” Nickerson (Tunji Kasim), Nancy’s ex and George’s boyfriend, a talented mechanic with a tragic past; and lazy philosophical Ace (Alex Saxon), whose hacking skills have caused secret problems that will soon be exposed.

In the first season, Drew Crew helped Nancy uncover the shocking truth that Lucy Sable, the ghost that had haunted her all season was her biological mother, and her biological father was the corrupt billionaire Ryan Hudson (Riley Smith). The second season is a direct preview of the first season, so it will span the fall of 2019, during Nancy’s gap year before college. Ryan will attempt to redeem himself by forging a father-daughter bond with Nancy while keeping his kinship a secret from the rest of his powerful family.
